His words echoed in her mind. “There’s nothing you could’ve done Sally.” But she felt she should have. It wasn’t as if Danny’s temper was new to her. She knew about it but chose to ignore it. That denial was what made the difference. What caused her death. When he tried to touch her hand she finally made eye contact. Her eyes were full of sadness and guilt. “He’s going to do it again. Aidan swallowed, shaking his head at her words before running a hand over his face with a long sigh. “When I say he’ll get what he deserves, I mean it Sally.
