His words echoed in her mind. “There’s nothing you could’ve done Sally.” But she felt she should have. It wasn’t as if Danny’s temper was new to her. She knew about it but chose to ignore it. That denial was what made the difference. What caused her death. When he tried to touch her hand she finally made eye contact. Her eyes were full of sadness and guilt. “He’s going to do it again. And.. there’s nothing I can do about it. I’ve tried but it’s no use.”
Aidan swallowed, shaking his head at her words before running a hand over his face with a long sigh. “When I say he’ll get what he deserves, I mean it Sally. I know he does…” He said, not really sure how he should go about telling her that she wasn’t exactly in the right place. “Don’t freak out but I think you might’ve thought yourself out of your own timeline when you found out about Danny… because all of that stuff happened for me months ago.” He knew how far-fetched it sounded but really, in their lives, nothing was too out there.
